Tankard is a thrash metal band formed in Frankfurt am Main in 1982. The band themselves jokingly refer to their style as Alcoholic Metal due to the over-emergence of the alcohol theme. Due to their bond with the fans, with whom the band likes to have a few beers after concerts, Tankard has built up a considerable following around the world and performs at international festivals.

The band's producer was Harris Johns until 2000. Helloween, Sodom, Voivod produced. Since 1986, Uwe "Buffo" Schnädelbach has been the band's manager. He also works as an editor for the metal magazine Rock Hard and as a music photographer. (Source: Wikipedia.de)
